Living In Uncertainty

Image
Dear Friend,  It's good to be back with you. Today I would like to talk to you about living in uncertainty.  You see friend we like to believe we have it all figured out. Today’s schedule, tomorrow’s meetings, this weekends road trip, our children’s play dates, next years vacation. We plan-organize-we write it down-add it to our planners-after all like the worlds latest cliche “we got this.”  Personally friend I have never been one to enjoy cliches, in fact I down right despise them. Partly because they are wrapped up in lies-I mean do we really "have this?" Do we really have anything, or are we  just grasping-longing, yearning to have it all figured, planned and mapped out. An illusion of sorts that we are in control.  If we are honest we really don’t have a clue from one day to the next what actually could transpire. Even the furry little animals were no where to be found. YOU-my friend have been brought here with a plan and a purpose just waiting to be discovered.  Lets us begin with Pain-this is no ordinary word. The word Pain is universal-it is known-it is felt deeply and it is understood by all who inhabit this earthly realm.   We are all born into this world in Pain-first, the long endured Pain of our Mothers who labor for hours in the depths of physical Pain before bringing us forth into this life.  Second as we begin to grow and learn the ways of this strange world we find ourselves beginning to feel and experience our own Pain.  Pain may visit us first in the form of a cry for food, perhaps a cut or a bruise, a loss or a need going unmet. Our experience with Pain may be harsh, cruel and relentless, or it may be milder, gentler, presenting a naggin...
